This weekend, our troop has opened a fundraising pumpkin patch. Come check us out from 9AM to 7PM on weekends, and from 12PM to 7PM on weekdays. We have a great assortment of pumpkins fit for the season! We just held Troop 985’s annual spaghetti dinner which serves as a fundraiser for our troop as well as a delicious dinner for the community! The tickets were $5 and included a full dinner and dessert. The food was donated by troop families and was greatly appreciated! The scouts served the food by waiting tables, taking orders, and bringing the food to the people. This gave them a great learning experience of what it is like to have a real job at a restaurant. Overall, everybody had a fantastic time eating delicious food and supporting our Boy Scout troop! 15-31 October – East Whittier. Our annual troop fundraiser was held outside for the last two weeks of October at the East Whittier United Methodist Church. The pumpkins were brought in from the Navajo Nation in New Mexico with proceeds that went to support the Navajo Nation and a percentage of sales raised for Troop 985. Special thanks to Mr. Jensen for helping set this up for the troop!
