The swim check is an annual test to understand the level of our scouts at aquatics. This is to help protect our scouts from dangerous events they might not be prepared for. The swim check consists of Advanced and Beginner levels. The Beginner level has two laps; one normal lap with a choice of any forward stroke and another lap with a backstroke. For Advanced, you need to do four laps; three forward strokes, and one backstroke. Then, you have have to float for a minute on your back.
Anyways... After our swim check, the scouts played in the pool for a while with diving boards and volleyballs. After our pool time, we cleaned up and went outside for a barbeque where we cooked different appetizers such as burgers, hot dogs, and chips. We served salad and drinks, and everybody had fun.
